Hey Andrew, John!
I just wanted to drop a line and thank you for talking about the 3D printing in this episode. When I was listening to you guys talk about the technology, I really had no idea that this thing existed. But then! I randomly received a newsletter about the 3DEA pop-up store in New York and the nightly free talks they were having to demonstrate how it can be used, what industries we will see it in, etc. So I went tonight and it was really, really great! They passed around models of objects that were made and I sat next to an architect that is convinced his entire field will be dramatically different due to this technology. I don’t think this series of events would have piqued my interest if I hadn’t just been listening to you guys talk about it the night before. I like art a lot so tomorrow I am going back to hear how artists can use this and what this means for the art world. Here is an article about the pop-up store.. they are holding the talks in a little auditorium next door.
