    Seems obvious that the value in YouTube/Twitter/Facebook is in the user base, not the technology, no?

    You really think Google looked at YouTube and thought they couldn’t replicate it in technical terms? That seems laughable.

    YouTube had a lot of traffic and had captured the imagination of people that wanted to post video.
